Key Account Manager – Czech Republic & Slovakia (w. persp. Country Manager)

Our client is an internationally active company based in the German-speaking region and is one of the world leaders in the development, manufacture and distribution of tools and tooling solutions. This long-established company operates globally through numerous branches, representative offices and distribution partners. Our client’s customers come from a wide range of sectors, including the furniture and woodworking industries, as well as the steel, aluminium and plastics industries. The aim is to achieve further strong growth in the Czech and Slovak markets. We are currently seeking to fill the position of Key Account Manager in the Czech Republic and Slovakia (with the perspective Country Manager).

Job description:

  • Our client is planning to significantly expand its market position in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  • As a Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and managing existing ones, as well as for market development in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
  • Formulating, planning and ensuring that the targeted market, turnover and profit targets are met, in close cooperation with head office.
  • Direct sales as well as in-depth technical advice and support for the products at the customer’s premises.
  • Close support for existing dealers and the gradual expansion of the dealer network.
  • Key Account Management.
  • Establishing and maintaining long-term business relationships at all decision-making levels, as well as building and maintaining a customer database to secure sales.
  • Developing region-specific sales concepts and strategies.
  • Using your technical expertise and commercial acumen, you will offer customers solutions to their problems, thereby conveying the added value of ‘your’ products.
  • Planning and execution of trade fair participation
  • Market and competitor analysis
  • Reporting to head office

Job requirements:

  • In addition to an excellent command of Czech or Slovak (at native speaker level), you have a good command of spoken and written English and/or German.
  • Several years’ successful sales experience, preferably within an international company, ideally in the tooling industry (with a focus on the furniture and woodworking sectors).
  • Completed technical or commercial training
  • Good knowledge of the market and/or industry
  • Solid knowledge of MS Office.
  • You are a strong sales personality in every respect, someone who can assert themselves convincingly with customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to identify and solve problems
  • Competent, independent and goal-oriented approach to work and business, with a friendly and confident manner
  • Highly sociable, communicative and team-oriented personality
  • Willingness to travel extensively
