Head of Maintenance – Czech Republic
Our client is an internationally operating company from Western Europe, one of the leading companies in the Glass industry. The company has a long tradition and is currently present all over Europe with own production sites and subsidiaries. Currently the company aims to boost operations and is building up a new plant in Czech Republic. For this plant (production has been started in 2020) is the position of the Head of Maintenance to fill.

Job description:
- Our client is planning to further expand its production site in the Czech Republic, with a very high level of automation.
- As Head of Maintenance, you will be responsible for managing the maintenance department and ensuring smooth operational processes, in particular the preventive and operational maintenance and repair of production and non-production equipment, including supporting technologies (osmosis, Selutor, compressors, etc.).
- You will be the person responsible within the company for the safety of machinery and plant, as well as for electrical installations and the operation of stationary pressure vessels.
- Leading, motivating, supervising and developing staff within your area of responsibility
- Managing the building’s electrical installations
- Specifying requirements for the procurement of spare parts and small consumables for maintenance
- Managing maintenance schedules and training operating staff from a technical perspective
- Responsibility for the spare parts warehouse
- Collaboration on technical modifications in accordance with the specifications of the Engineering/Development Department, as well as cooperation with other company departments
- Ensuring compliance with applicable legal regulations and principles in the areas of occupational safety, fire safety, environmental protection, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and internal company guidelines
- Reporting
Job requirements:
- Excellent command of Czech language (on a native level) and good command of English or German is required.
- Several years of successful professional experience in a comparable position, preferably in an international manufacturing company.
- Completed technical University degree or equivalent technical qualification
- An affinity for working in a highly automated production environment
- Good IT skills (MS Office, including ERP systems)
- Good knowledge of ISO 9001 and 14001
- You are a strong personality in every respect, someone who can assert themselves convincingly thanks to their professional expertise.
- Competent, independent and goal-oriented approach to work and business, friendly and confident manner, high level of diligence, sense of responsibility and willingness to perform
- Pragmatic, solution-oriented approach, cost-consciousness and a hands-on mentality
