Our client is an internationally operating company from a German speaking country, one of the leading manufacturing companies in the building materials supply industry. The company has several production sites and many branches throughout Europe. In Romania the company holds the position as Market Leader and aims to strengthen this position. Therefore in Bucarest the position Director of Sales is to be filled.

Job description:
- Our client aims to strengthen the current market position in Romania.
- As Director of Sales you will be responsible for sales development, maintenance of existing customer relationships, new customer acquisition and market development.
- Definition, planning and implementation of the established goals concerning revenue, profit and market penetration in close cooperation with the Head Office and the Managing Board.
- Leadership, coordination, motivation and control of the sales staff on site.
- Developing and expanding the network of distributors.
- Intensive technical customer support and consultancy.
- Establishing and cultivating of long-term business relationships at all decision-making levels
- Key Account Management
- Identification of new market opportunities and potentials
- Plan and organize participation in trade exhibitions
- Market and competitor analysis
- Developing individual sales programs and strategies for the different regions
- You use your technical competence and business skills to provide the customers with individual solutions, actively conveying the benefits of “your” products.

Job requirements:
- Excellent command of Romanian (on a native level) and very good command of English, both spoken and written. German and other language skills are an advantage, but not required.
- Several years of successful sales and executive experience in a similar position, preferably with aninternational company
- University degree preferred (or similar technical qualification, or economist with solid technical skills also possible).
- Excellent leadership skills, experience in personnel management
- Basic technical skills
- Preferably good market and/or industry knowledge
- Good commercial skills
- You are convincing, you rely on your competence and know how to assert yourself in dealing with both customers and staff.
- Competent, pro-active, independent and goal-oriented actions and approach.
- Hands-on mentality and strong sales focus
- Very sociable, communicative and team oriented personality
- High willingness to travel
