CFO / Head of Finance – Hungary
Our client is an international company from a German speaking country, one of the leading companies in its segment. The company has a long tradition and operates several locations and branches worldwide. Further intensive growth is aimed for the markets in Central Europe. In Czech Republic our customer operates a production site. For this plant (located in Eastern Bohemia, the position of the new CFO / Head of Finance is to be filled.

Job description:
- As CFO / Head of Finance you are responsible for the further organization and management of the areas of finance, accounting and controlling at the Hungarian site.
- Independent professional and disciplinary managment, motivation and further training of employees in the financial department
- Management and implementation of day-to-day operations in the areas of finance/accounting & controlling
- Management and monitoring of external payroll accounting
- Responsibility for the creation of the budget and annual plans (sales, investments, results and the financial plan including deviation analyzes and comments)
- Responsibility for the preparation of the monthly and annual financial statements as well as for the monthly reporting, the key financial figures, balance sheets, etc. The consolidated financial statements are prepared in accordance with international standards.
- Cash flow planning and monitoring
- Creation of transparency in reporting, in controlling processes and in (strategic) planning for headquarters and management
- Adherence to deadlines – compliance with set deadlines by the head office is an absolute must.
- Identification of optimization potential along the entire value chain (including sales), derivation of measures to improve results
- Active controlling of commercial processes as well as analysis of results and deviations
- Representing the company externally to tax authorities, banks and auditing companies, you are also the technical contact person for all commercial matters for the company headquarters.
- Updating the transfer pricing documentation in cooperation with external consultants
- Insurance coverage
- Preparation and creation of the investment plan and investment applications as well as business assessment of investments
- Negotiation and conclusion of leasing contracts for company vehicles
- Taking on special tasks and project work
- Reporting
Job requirements:
- Excellent command of Hungarian language (on a native level) and good command of English and/or German is required, both orally and written.
- Several years of successful professional experience in a comparable position, preferably in an international manufacturing company.
- Completed economical University degree or equivalent economic/commercial qualification
- Experience in accounting and balance sheet preparation, budget planning and monitoring, autidts, accounting and financial process flows
- First personnel and leadership experience beneficial, but not required
- Good knowledge of local GAAP, knowledge of IFRS would be an advantage
- Reliability, accuracy and high level of accountability and integrety
- Analytical and careful way of working, unbureaucratic and hands-on
- Good computer skills/ERP skills
- You are able to think and act in an interdisciplinary and entrepreneurial way.
- Leadership skills, as well as the ability to motivate and lead a team. You convince because of your professional competence and not because of your position.
- You are a person, someone who is convincing, can rely on his own competence and know how to assert yourself in dealing with colleagues and customers.
