  • Our client aims to expand its market position. In cause of the further expansion of the plant in Romania the position of the Technical Managing Director is to fill.
  • As a Technical Managing Director you will be responsible of all technical departments.
  • Management and motivation of the employees at the site by a cooperative management style
  • Responsibility for an effective production process by optimizing the capacity utilization and human resources planning
  • Permanent optimization of manufacturing and assembly processes with programs / initiatives to increase productivity (cost, quality, delivery times, OEE, etc.) and implementation of management tools and KPI
  • Permanent optimization of manufacturing technology, processes and organizational structures, introduction of new technologies
  • Implementation of sustainable CIP processes to comply with the production dates, a quantitative, cost and quality-oriented production and to ensure efficient processes in each area
  • Ensure delivery of the required quality and quantity in time
  • Close cooperation with the company’s headquarters in sustainable and results-oriented management of the own area of responsibility
  • Budget and investment plan in your area of responsibility including the implementation and control
  • Reporting

Job requirements:

  • Excellent command of Romanian (on a native level) and very good command of English and/or German, both spoken and written.
  • University technical degree (preferably plastics engineering, tooling, manufacturing, or engineering, etc.) or similar qualification (technician)
  • Several years of successful professional experience in a similar management position (eg as plant manager / director in production in the automotive industry or as a leader in the manufacturing, production planning and control of industrial enterprises.), preferably in an international manufacturing company
  • Good knowledge of the processes in the automotive sector and the automotive industry
  • Experience in series production (preferably automotive industry)
  • Commercial knowledge and experience
  • Personnel experience and excellent leadership skills as well as ability to motivate a team and to involve managers and employees in the achievement processes
  • Experience in the implementation of lean production concepts
  • You are an entrepreneurial personality who thinks strategically and implements overarching objectives operationally and pragmatic in the area of responsibility.
  • Structured approach and strong communication and motivation skills
  • You have excellent leadership skills; you are convincing and know how to assert yourself in dealing with the staff at all levels.
  • You prefer a cooperative management style, based on the experience that employees act only efficient if they have freedom to act within clear and consistent objectives, are involved in the decision-making processes and measured systematically by results.
  • You are competent, proactive and focused in your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
  • Good understanding of general perspective as well as distinct ability to solve problems.
  • Understanding of the role of leadership in a lean-production environment
  • You have a „proactive“ personality and pioneering attitude as well as high degree of own initiative.
  • You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
