Area Sales Manager – Western Balkan (Croatia, Serbia)
Our client is an internationally operating company from a German speaking country, one of the leading manufacturers of machinery and systems for metal working industry. This well-established, medium-sized company operates several branches and serves customers worldwide. The product range covers single machines as well as complete solution, including assembly and logistic aspects. Further intensive growth in the Balkan region is being aimed now. Currently there is the position in technical sales – Area Sales Manager – mainly for Croatia and Serbia, also partly Slovenia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Kosovo and Montenegro to fill.

Job description:
- Our client aims to expand its market position in Croatia and Serbia, and also in Bosnia Herzegovina, Slovenia, Kosovo, Montenegro.
- As Area Sales Manager you will be responsible for the sales development, customer service to existing customers and especially the new customer acquisition in above mentioned markets of innovative machines and system solutions for production processes.
- Definition, planning and implementation of the established goals concerning revenue, profit and market penetration in close cooperation with the headquarters
- Intensive support and technical advice for existing customers and new customers
- Answering of customer inquiries, communication with all customers, acting as interface between all internal and external contacts for the above mentioned markets
- Registration and maintenance of all commercial and technical customer data in the CRM system
- Preparation and elaboration of customer-specific offers
- Assistance in plant and production planning, creation of technical solution concepts incl. material flow planning and cycle time determinations
- Constant exchange with the head office (especially the sales and technical departments)
- Establishment and development of good personal contacts (sales) with business partners and customers (incl. customer acquisition)
- Project management and preparation of project documents
- Development of regionally specific sales concepts and strategies
- You use your technical competence and business skills to provide the customers with individual solutions, actively conveying the benefits of “your” products.
- Reporting.
Job requirements:
- Excellent command of Croatian and/or Serbian (on a native level) and good command of English and/or German, both spoken and written.
- Several years of successful sales experience in a similar position, preferably within aninternational company, and sales of products that require technical explanation (ideally capital goods)
- Preferably technical qualification, but also commercial education with appropriate technical skills and experience
- Preferably good market knowledge
- Hands-on-Mentality and strong focus on sales.
- High level of customer and service orientation while representing the interests of the company
- Experience in dealing with CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
- You are a very strong sales person, someone who is convincing customers, can rely on his own competence and know how to assert yourself in dealing with customers.
- You arecompetent and focusedin your actions and approach, your conduct is confident and friendly.
- You are team-minded and have excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
- High willingness to travel in the sales region (driver’s license).
